Presidents Day Adventure!

Jon had to work on Presidents day and so did my Brother-In-Law Nathan so me and my sister decided to go on an "Adventure" with the girls since we dont get to see each other often because of Tarins work schedule so tarin came and picked us up and we were off.

So the first stop we made was at Burlington Coat Factory to look at stuff that we didnt need or couldnt afford. lol. So we started off at the fun hat section and it was FULL of funny hats, Im assuming its because of Easter coming up in a month or so.

So being in the area of the mall we spotted Five'N'Diner and talked about how we hadnt been there in years so Tarin was an awesome sister/auntie and treated up to some Five'N'Diner!

Bethany Enjoying her lunch of french fries and Dinosaur Chicken nuggets!

So Tarin got very cold in the restraunt so I let her wear my sweater so she wouldnt turn into an ice cube so shortly after i gave it to her i got SOOOOOO Cold so i put on Melody's Jacket that she didnt want to wear

"What else am i supposed to do?"

Our food took FOREVER to get out, We were at the restraunt an hour and we still hadnt been served our food So Bethany took pity on her mommy and shared.

"Say AHHHHHH Mommy!"

Tarin clentching her teeth to prevent murdering everyone since we had to wait forever for our food. The food was okay, But we still had alot of fun! Thanks Sister!

The innocences of Melody and how it comes out so funny!

Okay so Melody is almost 4 Years old and she talks ALL the time, and the majority of the time the things that come out of her mouth is freakin hilarious. The other day My Husband was flipping threw something on the internet and a picture of Osama Bin Laden was on the screen and Melody looks at the Computer and says, "Hey look! Its Jesus!"

Immediately Jon and i Burst into laughter so hard that my abdomen hurt very bad and Jon had tears streaming down his face. Once We calmed our selves down I explained to Melody, " That is not Jesus sweetie. That man made the whole worlds hearts very sad and he is a terrorist" Melody not understanding any of that except that it wasnt Jesus and he made people sad responded, "A terrorist? I see." and walked away as if nothing had happened at all. While her daddy and I laughed and admired her Innocence.

Speaking of Melody and Jesus......

Melody has become amazed with my Gospel Principles Book for Relief Society and LOVES looking at all the pictures of Jesus and people at church and she came across a picture of Jesus Ordaining the 12 Apostles

My dad was over when She discovered the picture and he explained to her in another picture that Jesus would place his hands on peoples heads and make them feel better. The other day Melody wasnt feeling well and She was laying in her bed looking through my Gospel Priniciples book once again and she said to me.."Mommy Jesus makes them feel better huh?" and i answered, "Yes he does" She then took my hands placed them on her head and said to me in the saddest voice, "Mommy please make me feel better like Jesus"
I love my Melody. I love her pure and innocent little spirit and her faith in her heavenly father and apparently her mother. :-)

The Merry Go Round

So alot has happened in the little lives of us stanleys. We have had near lots of joy and also near tradgedy in the family. And on one particular day my awesome sister Tarin asked if me and the girls wanted to get out of the house to get some laughs and silliness in during a very trying and stressful time, So we decided to go out, and we decided to go on, as melody put it, "An adventure to the stores" aka walking around the mall. And we had Nana and Pampa come and join us in our fun.

Once we got to the mall Nana and Pampa decided to treat us all to a ride on the merry go round. The girls were so excited to go on the merry go round when it wasnt moving, But once it got moving Bethany was not having fun. She would scream everytime her hourse would move up or down. Me being the wonderful mother that I am found great humor in this and let Pampa take over holding Bethany on her horse.

So once i go back to stand with Melody I dont start feeling so good. Big Chicken Burrito from Del Taco+Merry Go Round= Motion Sickness (not fun) After we had our fun and games on the merry go round Nana and Grandpa decided to spoil their favorite grandchildren and buy them princess slippers and bags. And then we went to a popcorn shop to get the girls carmel popcorn.

While my parents were paying attention to the grandbabies me and my sister (being ther responsible and mature adults that we are) Spotted a fifty cent machine containing fake mustaches. Naturally we needed to buy them for ourselves to add to our already silly and giggle filled day. Despite our mother rolling her eyes at us and our dads irritation of us asking him to take our picture with them on they were the funnest fifty cents we have ever spent and made for a great and memorable day. :-)

Dont you love our mustaches? <3

Pumpkin Carving

So i didnt have any pictures from our pumpkin carving because Jon used Alicias Camera to take them. lol. So yes i stole the pictures from Alicia's Facebook. :-D
Well We started off carving pumpkins while watching the lion king. Eric sawed off the tops of the Pumpkins with a power saw, but i did mine the old fashioned way with my own little serrated knives.

All of us taking the guts out of the pumpkins. :-)

Me getting a nice hug from Bethany while i had pumpkin guts hands.

Jon and the Girls beign cute! <3>

Lol, Jack Skellington likes to eat his own pumpkin boogers. The girls got a kick out of that. :-)

The finished Jack Skellington

I ended up carving all of my families pumpkins since the girls werent interested in them at all. Melodys ended up being a ghost with.....

...The word BOO on the side!

Me holding Bethany's pumpkin that ended up being a scarecrow face. :-)
We absolutely had the best time! We love our new friends and hope we can do more fun things like this with them!
